The ascolab GmbH is an international operating corporation dedicated to industrial communication. The vendor independent consulting and developing services is mainly focused on the open communication interface OPC. As competent partner we design and realize complex communication solutions. Our individual, flexible and efficient customer services start from planning and design phase, includes realization and development, and completes with live cycle and long term maintenance. We advise and assist server- and client-sided software development including certification.

Actively Creating the Future

The founders Uwe Steinkrauß, Matthias Damm and Gerhard Gappmeier worked several years within Siemens for the department I&S (Industrial Services and Solutions) and developed certification software for the international interface standard OPC. In the competence center for OPC related solutions they gained experience as service supplier during successful work on uncounted project in the field of automation industry. A high degree of innovation, professionalism and know-how incorporates all our projects. We want to actively participate in designing the future and obtain the highest possible benefit for our customers. We have played a significant role in developing the OPC Unified Architecture Standard.

Membership

ascolab is member in the major organization for standardization of communication technology in industrial applications. Our expertise covers the most common field bus systems as well as high level protocols. We are OPC Foundation member since 2003.
